3 Digital Marketing Tips for Your Beauty Salon to Action, ASAP!
Are you stretching yourself too thin by trying to do too much for your day spa or salon? It can be exhausting and feel like there’s not nearly enough hours in the day. And that’s just when you’re managing your own spa! Add on the additional task of trying to effectively market your business, and sheesh! you’re run off your feet!
You know it’s important though; marketing is crucial for the longevity of your business. And in the modern business-scape, digital marketing is queen!
How do you know what to invest your limited time in though?! Between Instagram posts, collecting reviews, creating new special offers and trying to write blogs, it can all become very overwhelming.
The frustrating truth as well… the more you try to do at once the lower the quality and therefore impact your efforts will have.
So, what can you do to effectively promote your spa or salon online in 2019?
Let’s firstly take a look at the basics; key items you should have in place for your business.
1. Google My Business listing
Nearly everyone is using Google, and if they’re searching for a local business you can nearly guarantee they’re taking a peep at the businesses listed on Google Maps.
It is quick and easy to either set-up or claim a listing for your business on Google. This is a sure-fire way to ensure your spa is visible for local searches. It can then direct potential customers to your website, Facebook page, Booking app or have them call straight through.
2. Is your website mobile friendly?
This one isn’t so quick a fix unfortunately, but it’s integral to online success! Jump on your mobile and try to find service information and then contact details on your business website.
Could you easily? If not, how can this be fixed? Do you have a web developer or tech-savvy employee that can update your website to improve the customer-experience? …
No? It’s time to invest in a new website then. It cannot be stressed enough how important a mobile-friendly, user-friendly website is for business.
There is little point investing in other digital marketing channels if your website is below-par… customers will not convert!
3. Do you have active social media accounts?
You cannot just have set-up an Instagram account, posted a few times and then left it. Are you actively posting across social media; Instagram, Facebook and even Pinterest?
Engaging with your target audience via social media is an invaluable way to shape your brand story and build customer relationships.
Not only can you reach new customers that have never heard about your spa, but you can also nurture customer relationships and increase repeat visitations.
As mentioned, these are just the foundations. But, important ones to have in place from the beginning.
You can’t just jump ahead to all of the others items if you do not have these basics in place and supporting you.
I’ll be diving into more detail on each of these in the coming blogs, so stay tuned.
